Off-Site Accommodation

Make sure to book accommodations during your stay! We recommend booking accommodations as soon as possible to make sure you are able to book at the hotels or places that are nearby. Below are some suggestions:

  1. AirBnb
Here you can find and book several places that are nearby, the prices tend to be more accessible and offer possibilities of renting whole homes or just rooms for good prices. Ideally, look for accommodations near Fruitland and Duchesne.

  2. Hotels in Duchesne (around 30 minutes drive)
Duchesne is the closest town to the Monastery, it is a very small town, with a grocery store and several cafes/restaurants/eateries. To find a hotel in Duchesne, check the Best Western Hotel and a couple of other options that you can find in Google Hotels.

  3. Hotels in Heber (around 1h 20 minutes drive)
Heber is a vibrant town with many options for restaurants, grocery stores, and hotels even though it is further from the Monastery. To find a hotel here, check Best Western Hotel and several other options that you can find in Google Hotels.

The Monastery is a two-hour drive from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)  or Provo Airport (PVU). Both airports offer several companies for car rental that you can use once you’ve booked your ticket and your accommodation.

Important: The Monastery is approx. 9 miles down a remote, unpaved/dirt road in a canyon. Four-wheel drive vehicles & all-wheel drive vehicles with medium-high clearance (not low to the ground) are recommended.

Below there is a list of car rental suggestions:

  • Enterprise Rental car: (Salt Lake City Airport) website / Phone number: +1 (844) 942-0337
